Chakras, Auras and Meridians
The Chakras: A basic Guide
The chakras are transformer of energy.
They take in energy around us and integrate it into our energy bodies. We know that whatever goes into the energy body transfers to the physical body. If you are able to pick up on the colours, size of shape of the chakras you will gain valuable hints about what is happening with the whole person. There are many chakras, but I will focus on the seven major ones.
The following guide is compiled from a variety of sources and includes my personal observations. If you find that you are picking up information from the chakras, you may wish to do further study. There are many books and websites dedicated to the chakra system.

The human aura can extend anywhere from a few inches to a few feet away from the body. When you are in good health and your energy is strong, your aura is brighter and bigger. When you are weak, tired or sick, you aura collapses inward. Many things can affect your aura: physical health, emotions, thoughts, and the energies of other people and places. A healthy aura acts as an energetic shield, protecting you from harmful energies. Therefore it makes sense to want to have a strong aura. Reiki charges your aura with healing energy and boosts your energetic protection.
Theories abound on how many layers the are to the aura, and what each one means. If you can see or perceive these levels, you are more sensitive than most people! For the purposes or Reiki, what you need to know is that the auric field exists and that Reiki affects it in a positive manner. The layers closets to the body work on a more physical level and those further away are more spiritual and etheric in nature.
